Pilates in Motion - Part One
With movement and response forming a large part of modern thought processes within the exercise world, this lecture discusses the value of incorporating instability into our exercise programmes and classes to encourage a stable subconscious body that flows with ease and grace.
Human beings become upright and stable despite their naturally unstable nature, but should we utilise this instability to create more stable human beings? You might be thinking that we do teach instability; upright work and one leg standing in matwork classes. However, using motion to destabilise the body as a whole goes that step further and leads to an even more stabile body.
While this might appear to challenge the traditional view of Pilates, Gary invites you to join him in these two workshops, where he will explain how following a 'stable/unstable' exercise format gives enhanced results.
Part two of this workshop goes through the practice of instability in an exercise environment. See and experience the theory in practice. Participants must have attended part 1.

Fascia In Motion Part One (Lecture)
Gary Ward highlights the new 'F' word in the fitness industry, fascia, in the first of this two part series. While most people don't fully understand the implications of encouraging the body to find its natural and most efficient centre point, we as trainers do need to appreciate its impact, and be able to pass this knowledge onto our clients. And with the help of this course, hosted by fitness expert Gary, you will be put in a primary position to do so.
The second part of this workshop series examines the classic fascial systems, demonstrating how they affect human movement, and shows how trainers can influence the fascia to experience greater results.
